Boating in Cherry Creek Reservoir

The Cherry Creek Reservoir was the first of the three reservoir projects the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers built. It is open from east and west for boat ramps.

It is an 880-acre reservoir with 5 miles of shoreline, having an average depth of 16 feet and a maximum depth of 26 feet. Ice fishing is also available in winter when conditions permit.

The west side of the park opens early in April and the east side later in the same month from 6 am to 6 pm. Being one of the busiest parks in the Denver area comes with dense tourist traffic.
